Today is going to be busy. I slept in a bit because I was so comfy when my alarm went off that I just didn’t want to get out of bed, so I hit snooze… 3 times. I know. So I was a little late getting to work and now I’m probably going to have to stay a little late, too. I’m taking a break right now to write this blog entry though because I just need a break to organize my thoughts. I find that sometimes writing down the stuff on my mind helps me to sort out everything, plan, and organize what I need to do.
First things first: I have to find some cheap car insurance. Since I moved to the city I didn’t think I would need a car, but I’ve recently decided that it would help me out if I did, so I’m going to be buying a car soon and I’m going to need to make sure I have good insurance. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a car so I wonder if that’s going to affect anything. You really don’t need a car when you live downtown, but I drive enough places that it’s going to be worth my while to get one. Right now when I want to go visit my friends who don’t live in the city I have to either have them come pick me up or I have to take a train to get there and then have them come pick me up at the train station. Both of those situations would be easier if I had a car. Same thing when I go visit anyone, really. I’m getting a car more for when I have to go somewhere outside the city. Otherwise I just take public transportation just about everywhere or walk if it’s close.
After work tonight I have to go shopping. I need some food for my pet fish and then I need to get a new set of steak knives because mine are getting dull. I’ve had them for a few years and they weren’t very expensive to begin with so I didn’t think they would last that long. But actually, I’m not even sure how long steak knives are supposed to last. I would think the more expensive ones would last longer but who knows. I don’t have a huge budget for silverware, anyway. My sister has this $100 set. I was like geez, I wish I had that kind of money to spend on knives. Don’t get me wrong; they are really nice, though.
